La Loire à Vélo is a 900 km cycle route which is the most westerly section of EuroVelo 6 (cycle route from the Atlantic to the Black Sea). Qualified as the Valley of the Kings or the Garden of France, the Loire Valley is largely listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The Loire à Vélo cycle route allows you to discover all the beauties of the last wild river in Europe. Throughout the route, you will flirt with The Loire, its shores and islands, its hillside vineyards, its typical towns and villages and of course its many castles. From Nevers to the Atlantic, go on a unique cycling trip in France.
From the « Augeonnière », you can quickly reach the Loire road by bicycle located 2.7 km away by small country roads through fields. Ideal family walk: CONFLUENCE LOIRE ET CHER Circuit N ° 14
Connected to the Loire à Vélo at the village of Savonnières, on a perfectly flat route, the loop joins the beach at « the end of the world » located at the confluence of the Loire and the Cher. On your way, the village of Berthenay and the Grange aux Moines built in the 13th century are worth a stop.

Linking up with the La Loire à Vélo cycle path at Savonnières village, this effortlessly flat trail loops round to the beach “at the end of the world” where the Loire and Cher rivers meet. Berthenay village and the 13th century “Grange aux Moines” are well worth a visit along the way.
